Frequently Asked Questions

I would like to make a reservation; how do I do that?

You can make a reservation via the button at the top of the home page. Within 48 hours we’ll be in touch to go over the details. If you’re not able to make a reservation on your chosen date via our online system, then we are fully booked for that day.

I would like to make a reservation; what can De Vondeltuin do for me?

Reservations are possible for 15 people or more. If you would like to come with a larger group then you can send us an email to info@vondeltuin.nl. We will reserve a place on our terrace; it is possible to discuss precisely where. It is unfortunately not possible to make a reservation for inside during the summer (mid-March until mid-October).

We will open a tab, that you can pay at the end of your event. We offer a Dutch Bar (house wine and beer and soft drinks) or an open bar, and we can take into account a fixed budget. We also like to discuss an amount in advance at which you would like us to give you a heads-up. You can order at both bars (there is no service on the terrace).

Can I bring my own cake?

It’s possible to bring your own birthday cake with you! We charge €1,50 plate money per person, and if your total bill goes over €350 then we will waive that fee.

Can I put up decorations?

Of course! We would just ask you kindly to take it away with you when you leave. Confetti is unfortunately not permitted because of our location in the park.

What payment options are there?

You can pay by debit card or creditcard (VISA, Mastercard). We can also make up an invoice if that is arranged in advance. We have a payment term of 14 days.

It’s raining, what now?

No problem, we will put your group under our large parasols with heaters!

Child friendly?

Absolutely! We are right next to a playground, so the children can play there (with supervision) the whole day. We also sell juices, kids burgers and lots of yummy ice creams.

Dining

Groups up to 15 people can order a la carte. If your group has more people, we offer set groups menus for both lunch and dinner. Please make a note when you make a reservation, and we’ll contact you to arrange the details Please note that 40 is the maximum for both dinner and lunch.

Last round

The bar closes at 23:30 at the latest. Our opening times are dependent on the weather. It can be that we close the bar early if it is quiet. But don’t worry, we’ll let you know in good time!

Are dogs welcome?

Well behaved dogs are welcome, so long as they are always on a lead. There are drink bowls available on the terras.
